Laser Ablation

Endovenous Laser Ablation is a non-invasive procedure that uses heat to treat varicose veins. By spring the affected veins, laser ablation effectively closes off the vein and forces to blood to flow through alternative veins.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is an in-office treatment for spider veins, the thin red or purple veins on the skin’s surface. It can also be used to treat some small varicose veins, the swollen veins that are often visible under the skin.

Vein Removal Surgery

Vein Removal Surgery or vein stripping is a surgery that removes varicose veins, usually from the legs. Small incisions are made in the groin and legs to allow for the removal of the vein. Blood flow is diverted to other veins.

Cellulitis

Cellulitis is a bacterial infection involving the inner layers of the skin. It specifically affects the dermis and subcutaneous fat. Signs and symptoms include an area of redness which increases in size over a few days.

Chronic Venous Insufficiency

Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a condition that occurs when the venous wall and/or valves in the leg veins are not working effectively, making it difficult for blood to return to the heart from the legs. CVI causes blood to "pool" or collect in these veins.

Deep Vein Thrombosis

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) occurs when a blood clot (thrombus) forms in one or more of the deep veins in your body, usually in your legs. Deep vein thrombosis can cause leg pain or swelling, but also can occur with no symptoms.

Edema

Edema, also known as fluid retention or swelling, is the buildup of fluid in the body's tissue. Most commonly, the legs or arms are affected. Symptoms may include skin which feels tight, the area may feel heavy, and affected joints may be hard to move.

Lipedema

Lipedema is a disorder where there is enlargement of both legs due to deposits of fat under the skin. Typically it gets worse over time, pain may be present, and sufferers bruise easily. In severe cases the trunk and upper body may be involved.

Lymphedema

Lymphedema causes swelling with a feeling of heaviness, tightness or fullness, usually in an arm or leg. In most cases, only one arm or leg is affected. Swelling in the leg usually begins at the foot, and then moves up if it worsens to include the ankle, calf and knee.

Spider Veins

Spider Veins are small dilated blood vessels that can occur near the surface of the skin or mucous membranes. These dilated blood vessels can develop anywhere on the body but are commonly seen on the face around the nose, cheeks and chin.

Ulcer

An ulcer is a break in a bodily membrane that impedes normal function of the affected organ.

Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are superficial veins that have become enlarged and twisted. Typically they occur just under the skin in the legs. Usually they result in few symptoms but some may experience fullness or pain in the area. Complications may include bleeding or superficial thrombophlebitis.

Venous ulcers are leg ulcers caused by problems with blood flow (circulation) in leg veins.

Class 2 (Firm)

Class 2 (Firm) medical-grade graduated compression treats more serious conditions such as post-surgical swelling, deep vein thrombosis, and leg ulcers. Class 2 (Firm) compression garments should be worn after general or cosmetic surgery. Class 2 compression garments will reduce recovery time and allow you to achieve the best post-op results. Garments are available for a wide range of procedures, such as breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and liposuction.

  • Pressure level: 17 mmHg - 22 mmHg
  • Class 2 compression also aids in the prevention of varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, and supports the vascular system.
Those with more serious conditions such as lymphedema or lipedema will benefit from a stronger level of compression, such as Class 3. Please check with your health professional to find out which compression level you need.

With a waistband, these chap stockings are ideal for wear after most Vascular procedures and to treat a variety of conditions.  Available in a single leg and comfortable for everyday wear.and Vein Stripping.

These Sigvaris Cotton graduated compression stockings are made in Switzerland. Durable and affordable, Sigvaris Post Op Chap stockings are suitable for men and women and assist with a range of conditions.

Sigvaris medical grade compression socks and stockings are graduated compression, therefore you will have targeted medical grade compression and comfort all day.

Care Instructions
Turn you garment inside out before washing. Hand wash or gentle cycle in (Bodyment Delight Cotton Machine Wash Bag) in Warm water using a mild soap. Air dry or low heat tumble dry. Do not Dry Clean. Do not Tumble Dry. Do not Iron.

Fitting Notes:

  1. Please measure in centimetres.
  2. Do not pull the tape too tight.
  3. Ensure you measure the circumference ( AROUND ).
  4. Ensure you keep the tape horizontal.

Measurement Steps:

  1. Calf – Measure one calf at the widest point 
  2. Ankle – Measure one ankle at the narrowest point above the bone 
  3. Thigh – Measure one thigh at the widest point just below the crotch
  4. Hip – Measure at the widest point of your hips
  5. Waist – Measure at the smallest point between your bottom ribs and your hips 
  6. Leg Length – Measure from the length required (Thigh or just below the knee) to the floor. Please do not wear shoes.
